US Ballistic Missile Not Safe from Iran and North Korea, Despite highly sophisticated technology

Iran and North Korea's ballistic missile

WASHINGTON - United States (US) are not able to protect themselves from attack by ballistic missile that could be launched at any time by North Korea (Korea) and Iran, despite the billions of dollars being spent on sophisticated defense system.

Thus the sound document US Government Accountability Office report. According to the report, although US military leaders have claimed that the US defense system midcourse Ground-Based Defense (GMD) strong technologically advanced, but testing the technology does not support the claim.

"Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has not been proved through flight test that can defend the US homeland against a missile threat today," reads the document states.

"The agency does show some key missile defense capabilities of the country and rely on high-risk acquisition practices to achieve its goal of 44 interceptors by the end of 2017," said the document, quoted by Russia Today, last night (02/18/2016).

"No evidence has been provided to show that the system (defense) can intercept intercontinental ballistic missiles, and also remains to be seen whether the system is able to intercept the salvo of two or more to a single target," said the document states that still doubt the ability of the system interceptors US.

"On the contrary, it only shows a partial capability (to defend himself) against a small number of simple ballistic missiles."

Figures disclosed in the report shows that tens of billions of dollars have been spent for the GMD system, billions of dollars more will be needed to correct weaknesses.

This is not the first time that the GMD has been confronted with the problem. A report published in September 2014 revealed that "system killer" was already undergoing tests that failed and have dozens of problems on quality control.

Neither the Pentagon nor the White House has not confirmed the report documents that show how weak the US defense system.
